Environmental Concern:
Sudan having been involved in war for over 24 years, I feel that the best i can do for Mother Earth, starting with my beautiful country Sudan, is to initiate tree planting activities all over the country and help the youth see the need to conserve our virgin environment. I say virgin environment because many people have been engaged in war for a long time neglecting the environment. Iwould like to mobilize people in Sudan including myself and educate them on importance of preservation of the remaining indigenous trees and the rivers for the future of Mother Earth.

What makes you proud of your country:
I am very proud of the country I represent , first because its my motherland and second because it’s the most beautiful country in the whole world. My country is very special in many ways, but one thing I would want to promote about my country is our cultural heritage and the famous River Nile which feeds the entire nation. Our cultures have kept the people of Sudan especially the Southern Sudan together even when there was nothing like the government to govern the people, the cultures governed us. This was very very good for if it were not for our reach cultures we would have killed ourselves during the 24 years of conflict in Southern and Northern Sudan. Now we are almost free and thanks to our rich cultural values. River Nile was and still the source of our lively hood, for food water and also transportation. It’s a special gift from God. Long live River Nile, long live the Southern Sudan people.
