Miss Arizona
Hilary Griffith
What is your hometown like?
Glendale is great because it's the fourth largest city in Arizona, but it still has a community feel. It's a suburb of Phoenix, so there are a lot of different activities to do.
What were you like when you were a child?
I was a very outgoing child, meaning I was a total shameless ham. I always wanted to be the center of attention.
Who is the most influential person in your life?
My older sister, Audrey, is my best friend and biggest influence. She has always been there for me, and she is a great example of a beautiful, successful woman.
What is one thing about you that people you meet may not immediately realize?
I have absolutely terrible eyesight! Without glasses or contacts, I can't see anything that isn't 3 inches in front of me.
What was one defining moment in your life?
A defining moment in my life was when my nephew, Jaden, was born. I became an aunt for the first time, and I realized what an incredible gift a child is.
What was one defining moment in your life?
I've learned to always be true to who you are. If you put on an act, people will see through it in an instant.
What was one defining moment in your life?
I want to lobby for more rights for victims and changes in the DNA testing process. I will continue to be a spokesperson for national sexual assault organizations and develop a curriculum for teaching about sexual assault in America's high schools.
