What is your hometown like?
It's a big city suburb with a small town feel. The people are warm and welcoming, and the spirit of generosity is alive and well.

I was an angel and laughed just like Minnie Mouse. I became independent at an early age.

My best friend, my mom

I'm a WHOO-ER! (I guess that's the cheerleader in me.)
What was one defining moment in your life?
My first failure was trying out for the NBA Cleveland Cavaliers Dance Team and then subsequently making the team the next year.

Be yourself. You have to know at the end of the day, that you were true to yourself. Only you know what is best for you. You have to know yourself.
What was one defining moment in your life?
As Miss America, I plan to become the national spokesperson for Junior Achievement and the American Red Cross. My hope is to attract a greater number of sponsors, supporters and volunteers and to promote my message -- Never Settle for Less Than Your Best -- to America's youth, our future leaders.
