Anya was born and grew up in the Bahamas, an archipelagic nation made up of 700 islands and cays, with a rich history of British and African influences.
She has three career goals: she has already completed two years of study towards attaining her Doctorate in Pharmacy. This being the first step towards her goal of establishing her very own pharmacy chain; Has completed courses in gourmet cooking techniques, she would like to open a Bistro style restaurant chain; Pursuing a B.A. in Business Management, she would like her own Planning Event Business: She is passionate about – medicine, food, and planning events!
Anya also enjoys: swimming, playing the Steel pan drums and the clarinet; listening to anything from calypso to jazz, reggae to R’n’B; pop to house techno. Favourite dish is Bahamian treat of Crab and Dough.
Personal motto is: “I may not have the authority to make changes in the world, but I can influence those that do”.
