Kelly-Louise grew up in St Mellons, just on the outskirts of Cardiff, the capital of Wales.
Since being diagnosed with Scoliosis it has always been of dream of hers to work in remedial orthopaedics to help other young people with similar conditions; in order to realise this, Kelly-Louise is now in her final year of medical school and she aims to become an orthopaedic paediatric surgeon.
She has excelled at gymnastics from an early age and frequently worked as a coach: she trains the university cheerleaders’ squad at Leicester and competed for Loughborough in the National Cheer leading Championships. Kelly-Louise has also coached gym in the USA.
Her hobbies include supporting The Cardiff Blues Rugby team, classical singing, shopping and surfing. She likes any music she can dance or cry to. Her favourite dish is pasta with roast vegetables.
Her mottoes are “If it doesn’t kill you it just makes you stronger!” and the family maxim “Work Conquers All”.
