Maggie Geha

Age: 16

Hair Color: Red

Eye Color: Hazel

Height: 5' 10"

What is the craziest thing you have ever done?
I was feeling spontaneous on a fall day, and I jumped out of a canoe into the Connecticut River with all my clothes on. The water was freezing cold!

Please list, starting with the latest, any schools and universities (public/private/graduate/trade or technical) you have or are attending, as well as the area of study, last date completed and any degree or certification you received.
Brattleboro Union High School.
Brattleboro School of Dance. Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Pilaties, Dance Choreography, Improvisation, Anatomy, Sociology.
Please list any Honors/Awards you have received in the past 2 years.
Honor/High Honor Roll - freshman and sophomore years.

What is the most interesting or surprising thing about you, or that has happened to you?
People are often surprised by my extreme flexibility. You should hear the gasps when I put my legs over my head. I've thought about auditioning for Cirque de Soleil!

Are you the oldest, youngest or a middle child and what does that mean to you?
I am the oldest, which means being a role model and setting a good example for my younger sister, Sophie. I often feel protective of my sister and her friends, so maybe I have a mothering complex as a result of being the oldest.

Name one person, family, friend, celebrity, who has had the most influence on your life.
Susan Almasi. Susie is my godmother and the most amazing person. She suffered an illness that left her with very low chances of survival and has remained strong throughout. She has a mother with Alzheimers, a young son who is autistic and a very high-profile career as an operatic coach. I really don’t know how she stays so strong. But she inspires me, she’s always been there for me and I love her very much.

What charity/charities have you supported with your time and/or resources over past two years? Please provide the name of the charity, level of involvement.
March Of Dimes, Walk America 2004 - Team captain and walker.
Brattleboro Memorial Hospital - Junior volunteer, after school twice a week.
Winston Prouty Early Learning Center - Teacher assistant.
Project Feed the Thousands - Volunteer and fundraising.
Belmont (MA) Public Library - Volunteer assistant Librarian.
