What is the most interesting or surprising thing about you, or that has happened to you?
I have overcome some challenging labels and learning "differences," including dyslexia and dyscalculia, to prove that people who learn differently or who think outside the box are often unusually bright and gifted. I have an I.Q. of 148 and am NOW "labeled" artistically gifted. Although my mother was once told that I would never function normally or make it in a classroom, I started college at 15, and have a 3.5 G.P.A. (I must confess, though, I still can't take a test!)
Are you the oldest, youngest or a middle child and what does that mean to you?
Fourth out of eight...Middle... I have siblings to look up to and siblings to be an example for.
Name one person, family, friend, celebrity, who has had the most influence on your life.
My Mother. I believe that my mother can do anything. I'm so thankful that she is my mother because she has shown me that women can be so strong and so loving. She has taught me that women can do anything and have everything that they want out of life if they work hard enough. She made a life for herself all on her own when her family wasn't there for her. She never gave up. She was one of the first female firefighters and was also a paramedic. And, after raising eight children she is still patient with everyone. From watching her I've learned that you can have a career along with, most importantly, a happy, healthy family, which I think is one of the greatest blessings for women of our time.
