Agnese grew up in a town named Valmiera which is surrounded by a river and many trees. She completed her school education coming top of the class in Art, and moved to Riga, the capital, to continue her Art Studies, specialising in the making of National Costumes and design. Her ambition is to be a dress designer. In her leisure time Agnese enjoys: travelling, aerobics, yoga, Latin American dance and Belly dancing. Her motto is "Live for the moment".


Where did you grow up? Tell us a little about your home town/city, and family.
I grew up in a town embosomed by river and woods Valmera. This is a place of my childhood in a loving family; my dad, mum and wise grandma. I’d love to return to my childhood years because they were so nice.

What Jobs have you done? What was the most interesting/bizarre?
I have learnt how to make national costumes. I do like making them as authentic as possible - starting with making cloth up to finishing with costumes.

What are your career ambitions, how do you plan to realise them?
I am planning my career as a stylist. I have been doing this for a while, from advising to taking part in fashion shows

What is the proudest moment of your life? (Not including winning your National Title)
The proudest moment was achieving a diploma in embroidery.

What was the funniest/most embarrassing moment of your life?
Diving in the Mediterranean Sea. I had never done that before, but swimming with fishes was fantastic.

What was the funniest/most embarrassing moment of your life?
I have been travelling a lot, because participating in the National Contest.

Tell us about an interesting event you have attended, or a person that you have met.
Collecting tea leafs in China. That was amazing and it amazed me even more when we took part in a tea ceremony.

What would you like to do, if you became Miss World 2004?
I would try to help talented kids who come from low-income families just the way I was helped.

If you had a personal motto what would it be?
Taste the moment!

Give details of any charitable work undertaken?
Long before taking part in this contest, on my own free will I brought different things (pencils, books etc.) to the Red Cross.
