What is the craziest thing you have ever done?
In the summer of 2002, I moved by myself to South Padre Island without a job or a place to live. This was 11 hours away from my family. Within a few hours, I found a job as a waitress at a popular seafood restaurant and a one-bedroom condo on the beach. It was a summer filled with new experiences!

What charity/charities have you supported with your time and/or resources over past two years?
"Developing the Leader Within" ~ This is my mentorship program, and I have spoken to over 15,000 children since founding the program in November 2002. As far as time goes, I devote several hours a week.
Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation ~ I have devoted about 1500 hours over the past two years to assisting in the Lubbock office and helping with special events.
Children's hospitals ~ This year alone I have visited children with cancer or other illnesses in four hospitals across the state including MD Anderson, Shriner's Hospital for Children, Texas Children's Hospital and Covenant Medical Center.
Sparrow Clubs ~ I hope to have more involvement but I am in the process of learning the presentation and will present it to several young ladies in the Lubbock, TX area. Also, I am assisting in a project that might involve schools in the Baltimore area.
Girls, Inc. ~ I talk about education and being a role model. I have devoted about ten hours to this project.
Texas Masonic Home and School ~ I have visited with kids there and hope to continue my involvement.
Girl Scouts of Texas ~ In the Lubbock area I will speak to these young ladies about being goal setters and role models.

What would be your "dream job" in life?
I would love to be a motivational speaker, helping people to discover where their talents lie and to realize their full potential.

Name one personal accomplishment (in addition to being a State Titleholder) that makes you especially proud.
I am particularly proud of having shared my mentorship program, Developing the Leader Within, with more than 15,000 children (so far!). The program promotes good moral character and builds confidence.

What are your hobbies and favorite activities?
Playing with my dog, Muphin Working out and going to aerobic classes, Hip hop dancing, Going to Bible studies, Volunteer work, Running (plan to run a 1/2 marathon very soon), Cooking.
