Jelena Glisic

Student: Bernardin Frankopan High School in Ogulin, General.

Interests: Most of all I enjoy working as a model, doing various photo shoots for fashion magazines, fashion shows; I enjoy being on the stage, the lights, the cameras, livin out of the big city gives me opportunity to relax by just walking in the nature, and enjoying hte fresh air, after busy working days in the city.

Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
My mother's aunt, because she showed me how important it is to help to somebody who have lost everything, like we did, when the war in Croatia started.

What is the most interesting or unique thing that has ever happened to you (aside from winning your title) and/or what is the most interesting thing about you?
One year ago I was hiking with my girlfriend on the mountain near my birthplace, and we were very scared, but then we saw herd of dear, moving very close to us. By some mirracle we didn't chared them away so we were able to observe them from very close spot. I have never seen a deer so near me.

What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
I always set smaller goals and when I achieve them, it makes me happy. In a couple of months I would like to enrol the Law University and specialize in social low, therefore I am studying very hard to achieve the highest possible grades in High school.

Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was very young when I had to leave our house with my family, because the war started in my country, so we were moving to different parts of Croatia. Despite all this, my childhood was filled with love of my family, beautiful friendships and I learned to be happy with small things.

List any interesting or unsual jobs you may have had.
My parents manage a small nursing home, and I help them with cleaning and food preparation, whenever I am not preocupied with my studies.
