Osama Bin Laden Killed
The FBI's Most Wanted Person Osama Bin Laden, the founder leader of Al-Qaeda and a byword for Global Terrorism who was the master mind of 9/11, was shot dead by by U.S. Navy SEALs on May 2, 2011 inside a private residential compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

Japan's Dual Disaster
An Earthquake of 9.1 on Richter scale and subsequent Tsunami hit the East of Japan, claiming 15,840 lives and leaving 3,926 people missing on March 11, 2011. Emergency was declared at four nuclear power plants affected by the calamity.

Fall of Hosini Mubarak
Massive protest against Egyptian President Hosini Mubarak erupted on January 25, 2011 due to corruption and abuse of power prevailing during his 30 year long regime as President. The protest broke in January leading to the resignation of Mubarak from the apex post in February 2011.

Mummar Gaddafi Assassinated
Very much on the lines of Egypt unrest and Tunisia, citizens of Libya who were fed up of Col. Mummar Gaddafi's autocracy, too overturned his governance. Later on the long standing dictator was brutally assassinated by the mob lead by NLA fighters on October 20th 2011 at Sirte.

The Royal Wedding
Year 2011 also witnessed the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton on April 29, 2011 at Westminster Abbey. The occasion was one of the globally celebrated ones, attracting a huge media attention and being broadcasted live worldwide.
