Meat Pasanda Recipe


Ingredients:

  • ½ tsp salt
  • 40 gm Ghee
  • 150 ml Curd
  • 200 ml Water
  • 150 ml Cream
  • ½ tsp Turmeric
  • 1" piece of Ginger
  • 1 tsp Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin Ground
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 450 gm Meat, cubed
  • 175 gm Onion, sliced
  • ½ tsp Nutmeg Ground
  • 2 flakes Garlic, crushed
  • 2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 25 gm Almonds Ground
  • Toasted Almonds, to garnish

Method:

    Melt the butter in a large frying pan and fry the onion until just beginning to brown.
  1. Add the meat and cook until browned.
  2. Add the garlic, ginger, curd, turmeric, coriander, cumin, nutmeg, chilli powder and water and bring to the boil.
  3. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until the meat is tender. Stir in the cream, almonds, salt and garam masala.
  4. Heat through gently and serve garnished with the toasted almonds.


Tip: It's easier to slice meat and chicken thinly if they are partially frozen. Wrap the meat or chicken in plastic wrap and freeze for 15 minutes.
