Gajjar ka Halwa Recipe


Ingredients:

  • 1 liter Milk
  • 5 tbsp Ghee
  • 100 gm Sugar
  • 100 gm Khoya
  • ½ cup Almonds
  • ¼ cup Kishmish
  • ½ cup Cashewnuts
  • 250 gm grated Red carrots

Method:

  1. Heat the Ghee in a non stick pan on medium heat.
  2. Add the grated carrots and fry till they turn light brown.
  3. Add the milk and cook until almost dry.
  4. Add sugar and stir well till the sugar is dissolved.
  5. Add kishmish and cashewnuts. Keep stirring continuously.
  6. Stir until semi dry. Add khoya and mix well.
  7. Cook until the halwa leaves the sides of the pan and ghee separates from the halwa.
  8. Serve warm. Garnish with raisins, almonds, and cashewnuts.


Tip: Take 2-3 healthy strawberries. Make incisions vertically from tip to base, to form slices. But do not cut fully. Stop just below the base. Now press sideways gently, to form a fan shaped strawberry. Use as topping decor for icecreams, puddings, etc.
