Shakarkandi Halwa Recipe


Ingredients:

  • 150 gm Ghee
  • 100 gm Sugar
  • ½ Kg Sweet Potatoes
  • 1 tsp green Cardamom powder
  • 50 gm Almonds, soaked in hot water

Method:

  1. Cook the sweet potatoes in a pressure cooker for about 10 mins.
  2. Heat the ghee in a pan, then add mashed sweet potaoes and stir for 7-8 minutes.
  3. Now add sugar. Keep stirring for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Garnish with cardamom powder and chopped almonds.


Tip: Ants in the Sugar? Place 3-4 cloves in with the sugar. This will keep the ants from entering.
