Ingredients:
- 250 ml Oil
- 200 ml Milk
- 2 Cardamom
- 200 gms Flour
- 400 gms Sugar
- 1 small size Coconut
Method:
- Mix flour, milk, and 50 ml of oil well and knead.
- Grate coconut. Mix grated coconut with 75 grams of sugar.
- In a pan heat the coconut mix till it becomes brown. Crush cardamom and mix with it. Keep aside and allow it to cool.
- Make equal sized sized balls of the flour mix. Flatten each ball into medium sized roundels.
- Put reasonable quantity of coconut mix on each roundel and cover in the shape as in the picture.
- Heat the remaining oil.
- Once the oil is hot, fry the stuffed pies till they get deep brown color.
- Mix the remaining sugar and enough water in a saucepan and bring it to boil till it becomes a syrup of one thread consistency.
- Put the fried pies in the sugar solution and keep it for 30 minutes.
- Gokul Pithe is ready to serve now.
Tip: Always sprinkle gelatine over the water. Never put in dry pan, then add water and heat.
