Old- Fashioned Recipe


Ingredients:

  • 15 ml Water
  • ½ tsp Sugar
  • 1 dash Bitters
  • 60 ml Light Rum
  • 10 ml 151 proof rum
  • Lime Wedge to garnish

Method:

  1. Dissolve superfine sugar in rum.
  2. Combine bitters and water, superfine sugar and rum in an old-fashioned glass over crushed ice.
  3. Add 151 proof rum and garnish with lime wedge.


Tip: Eat something before and during alcohol consumption. This slows the absorption of alcohol. Fats and carbohydrates are best for slowing absorption. Sugars intake prevents hang-overs. Cakes and pastries are the party food that has lots of all three.
