Mango chicken Recipe


Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • 300 ml Cream
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 750 gms Mangoes
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 tsps grated Ginger
  • ½ tsp Cumin powder
  • 2 pods Garlic crushed
  • 1 kg Chicken thigh fillets
  • ¼ tsp Cinnamon powder
  • ½ tsp Coriander powder
  • 300 gms Onions, finely chopped

Method:

  1. Blend or process mangoes until pureed; strain into small bowl.
  2. Combine chicken, garlic and ginger in large bowl; cover refrigerate 3 hours or overnight.
  3. Barbecue or griddle-fry chicken until tender; cut into 2cm pieces.
  4. Heat ghee in large pan; cook onions, stirring, until browned lightly, add spices stir until fragrant.
  5. Add chicken, mango puree, cream and juice; cook, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes or until mixture is thickened slightly.


  6. Serves: 5
