Mashed Potatoes Recipe


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Milk
  • 6 tbsps Butter
  • 1 kgs Potatoes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method:

  1. Peel and quarter the potatoes, then add to a large pot and cover with water.
  2. Add some salt and bring to a boil for about 20-25 minutes.
  3. Drain the potatoes and return to very low heat.
  4. Add hot milk and the butter and start mashing with a potato masher or put them through a potato ricer, smoothing out all the lumps.
  5. Transfer to a warm bowl and whisk until light and fluffy, adding more milk, if necessary, and salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve hot.


Tip: Add a pinch of salt to the oil while frying pakodas or koftas and you will use up less oil.
