Banana Raita Recipe


Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 1 cup Curd
  • 2 ripe Bananas
  • Coriander leaves
  • ½ tsp Lemon juice
  • ½ tsp Mustard seeds
  • ½ tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 tbsp roasted Peanuts
  • 1 Green Chilli, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Almonds chopped
  • ½ tsp Roasted Cumin, grounded

Method:

  1. Chop bananas and soak in lemon juice to stop discolouration.
  2. In a bowl add curd, salt, chillies, garam masala and beat lighty.
  3. Add banana pieces and coriander leaves to the curd and mix well.
  4. In a small pan heat oil and add mustasrd seeds. When seeds splutter add peanuts, almonds, chillies and cumin and stir fry for couple of minutes.
  5. Pour over the raita and serve.


Tip: Onions will turn out crispier if soaked in milk for a little while before frying.
