Besan Ki Roti Recipe


Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Besan
  • 3 tbsp Ghee
  • ¾ cup Warm Water
  • 125 gms Ghee, melted
  • 1 cup White Plain Flour
  • 1 cup Wholemeal Plain Flour

Method:

  1. Sift flour and salt into a medium bowl, rub in ghee, mix in enough water to make a firm dough.
  2. Knead dough on a floured surface about 5 minutes or until smooth, cover, refrigerate 30 minutes.
  3. Divide dough into 12 pieces, roll each piece, on a floured surface, into a 17 cm round roti.
  4. Brush roti on each side with extra ghee, cook, one at a time, on a heated tawa or dry non-stick pan, until brown on both sides.
