Ingredients:
- 1 tsp Ghee
- 1 tbsp Lime Juice
- 200 gms Grean Peas
- Salt according to taste
- A few Ginger juliennes
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Red Chilli powder
- 30 gms Garlic, chopped
- 1½ tsp Ginger, chopped
- ½ tbsp Coriander powder
- 150 gms Onions, chopped
- 60 gm Tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tsp Garam Masala powder
- 1 tsp Green Chillies, chopped
- 1 tsp Coriander leaves, chopped
- 250 gm Split Green Gram (moong dal)
Method:
- Wash green gram properly and soak for 1 hour. Drain and fry the gram till it turns a light golden colour.
- Heat ghee, add chopped garlic and chopped onions and fry to a golden brown colour. Add ginger, green chillies and toss.
- Add green peas and fry lightly, add chopped tomatoes and fry. Then add coriander powder, turmeric powder and red chilli powder and stir.
- Add the fried green gram into this masala with 1 cup of water and mix well. Simmer for sometime. Add salt, garam masala powder and lime juice.
- Garnish with ginger juliennes and chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve with phulkas or plain rice.
