Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 40 gm Sugar
- 2 tsps Cream
- 25 gm Onions
- 1 tsp Ginger, chopped
- ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
- A pinch of Cumin seeds
- 50 gm Fresh Green Peas
- ½ tsp Coriander powder
- 2 Whole Red Chillies, slit
- ¼ Garam Masala powder
- 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
- Slat according to taste
- 1 tsp Cottage cheese, grated
- 800 gm Fenugreek leaves, finely chopped
Method:
- Boil 1 lt water in a pan, add a little sugar and fenugreek leaves.
- Boil for 2-3 minutes, drain and set aside. Boil and drain green peas and keep aside.
- Heat oil, crackle cumin seeds, add 1 red chilli, chopped ginger, and saute for 2-3 minutes.
- Add onions and cook till golden, add tomatoes and stir for 3-5 minutes. When the tomatoes cook, add the fenugreek leaves and green peas.
- Add turmeric powder, 1 red chilli, coriander powder and garam masala powder and cook till the masala mixes well.
- Add cream and cook till the masala is semi-dry and the fat leaves the masala.
- Adjust the seasoning.
- Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with grated cheese and serve hot.
