Ingredients:
- 1 ½ tsp Salt
- 50 gms Peas
- 2 tbsps Corn Oil
- 1 tsp Ginger Pulp
- 1 tsp Chilli Powder
- ½ tsp Onion seeds
- 1 Medium Potato sliced
- 1 Medium Onion, sliced
- 2 tbsp Chopped Coriander
- 1 Orange or Yellow Pepper, sliced
- 400 gms Basmati Rice, washed
- 700 ml Water
Method:
- Heat the oil and fry the onion seeds for about 30 seconds. Add the sliced onions and fry for about 5 minutes.
- Start adding the sliced tomatoes, pepper, ginger, garlic, chilli powder, fresh coriander, potatoes, salt and peas and stir-fry over a medium heat for a further 5 minutes.
- Add the rice and stir for about 1 minute.
- Pour in the watere and bring to the boil, then lower the heat to medium. Cover and cook for 12-15 minutes. Leave the rice to stand for 3 minutes and then serve.
