Chocolate Cupcakes Recipe


Ingredients:

    For Cakes
  • 60 grms Dark Chocolate,Chopped
  • 4 Eggs, Separated
  • 1 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar, Sifted
  • 100 gms Butter
  • 1 3/4 cups Refined flour (Maida)
  • 3 tsps Baking powder
  • 1/4 tsps Salt
  • 2 tsps Vanilla Essence
  • 1.2 cup Milk

  • For Frosting
  • 2 cup Icing Sugar
  • 1/2 cup White Butter
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
  • 1-2 tbsp Milk
  • Food colors as desired

Method:

    Method For Cakes:
  1. Preheat oven to 180° C/350°F. Grease moulds or paper cups. Melt chocolate in the microwave on high for one minute.
  2. Blend Eggs into a bowl.Add sugar and continue beating till the mixture is frothy.
  3. Whisk the chocolate well. Melt the butter and add to the chocolate and mix well. Sift the flour with baking powder and salt into a bowl. Add the chocolate-butter mixture to the flour along with vanilla essence and mix well.
  4. Add the egg-sugar mixture, a little at a time, and mix in the fold-and-cut manner. Add milk to adjust the consistency. Pour the batter into the greased moulds. Fill up only till half mark. Arrange the moulds in a tray and bake in the preheated oven for 30 mins. You can also cook them in a microwave for about six to seven minutes.
  5. Method For Frosting
  6. Cream butter until smooth with an electric or a hand mixer.
  7. Add vanilla essence and sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
  8. Add milk and beat again. You can reduce or increase the quantity of milk according to the consistency required.
  9. Divide the frosting and add colors of your choice and pipe frosting on top of the cupcake as you like. Garnish with coloured sugar and chocolate chips.


Tip: Ants in the Sugar? Place 3-4 cloves in with the sugar. This will keep the ants from entering.
