Sound the trumpets and send in the clowns, as "Joker" is laughing its way towards a staggering global collection of $1 Billion. Over last weekend it racked up a fine $934 Million and with all the Oscar buzz surrounding Joaquin Pheonix's performance, the $1 Billion is not far away.

Co-written by Todd Philips and Scott Silver and directed by Todd Philips, 'Joker' is an original standalone origin story of the iconic villain not seen before on the big screen, it's a gritty character study of Arthur Fleck, a man disregarded by society, and a broader cautionary tale.

Meanwhile, Tim Miller's "Terminator: Dark Fate" has raked in only $29 million in its opening weekend. This isn't a bad total to per se, but definitely a bad news for James Cameron who plans on making more "Terminator" movies. Moreover, upcoming releases "Doctor Sleep" and "Frozen 2" will definitely hamper its chances, if any remain.

Directed by Tim Miller, "Dark Fate" follows Sarah Connor(Linda Hamilton) and a hybrid cyborg, Grace(Mackenzie Davis) must protect a young girl Dani (Natalia Reyes) from a newly modified liquid Terminator, Rev-9 (Gabriel Luna) from the future.
