The world-renowned Cannes Film Festival will not be taking place as scheduled. The reason is the Chinese coronavirus that is now ravaging Europe.
The event was supposed to take place on May 12-23, but now it's shifted to a later date. Currently, the organizers consider late June or early July.
The statement appeared soon after organizers of other major cultural events in Europe claimed they had to reschedule them in the view of the ongoing pandemic.
Eurovision 2020 was cancelled on Wednesday, so was Glastonbury, the famous British music festival; this year, organizers, musicians and the audience were about to mark the event's 50th jubilee.
