Cecilia was born and brought up in nairobi, kenya, which is well known by tourists for its safaris, and crops of coffee and tea. She is a student at the jomo kenyatta university of technology, and has also trained at the japanese and french cultural interchange center and acts as an interpreter. Her ambition is to become a professional networking consultant. Hobbies are: cooking, travelling, reading, dancing, especially the cultural dances from the different ethnic groups, and kenyan cultural music. Sporting interests are: swimming, netball, volleyball and the 800m-sprint race. Favourite food is mashed bananas and mutton stew served with spinach and cecilia’s personal motto is “live, love and cherish life for a better future”.

Where would you most like to visit in the world and why?
I would really like to visit japan, it is my dream country since that is where technology evolves so fast, some beautiful sceneries and historical sites like hiroshima are found
What is the best thing about your country?
Kenya my country happens to be blessed with splendid beauty, lakes, mountains and wildlife which promotes tourism and coastal beaches. It is also known for export of quality cash crops like coffee, tea and pyrethrum

If you were stuck on a desert island with one other person (famous or not whom would you choose?
Famous – (professor wangari mathai- nobel prize winner 2004) she is hardworking and ready to sacrifice for the good of her country and I would be very interested to know what really drives her.
What is your message to all the other miss world contestants?
All miss world contestants should use their beauty with a purpose to help and reach the large community worldwide- their beauty should be with a purpose.
