Cheerful, positive, determined

Do you have a special or unusual talent? (what is it?)
My talent is the violin. I have been playing for 20 years.

Where would you most like to visit in the world and why?
The country that I would like to visit in the world is argentina because I would like to experience the genuine passion of tango and dance.

What is the best thing about your country?
The best thing about my country is that we have 4 defined seasons – spring, summer, autumn and winter. In every season there is something to enjoy fir example the cherry blossoms in the spring, the festivals in the summer, the changing leaves in the autumn and the snow in the winter.

What is your favourite…..
Film:
'Hannibal', 'Basic Instinct', 'Spirited Away'
Music: I love Ryuichi Sakamoto and the music that he composes, especially the music that he co-wrote for the famous film ‘The Last Emperor’
Singer/band: Japanese bands (M-Flo, Christal Kay, Ken Hirai etc) and foreign music (Beyonce, Destiny’s Child, Eminem, Madonna)
Book: Patricia Cornwell’s mystery novels, Koji Suzuki (movie ring), Osamu Dazai.

If you were granted one wish, what would it be?
If I was granted one wish I would like to be the person who creates trends in fashion that young, japanese women can follow. I would like to be a role model for these young women and set an example.

If you were stuck on a desert island with one other person (famous or not) whom would you choose?
I cannot live without music and as I mentioned above, my favourite composer is a japanese man called ryuichi sakamoto. Therefore I would take ryuichi sakamoto to the deserted island so that we can compose music together and play with objects that we can find such as shells.

What is your message to all the other miss world contestants?
My message to all the other finalists would be that I am excited about meeting them and getting to know them. I would like to learn wonderful things of each country and in return I would like to introduce and teach them something new about Japan.
