Moana-Sarann was born and grew up in Fort de France, the capital of Martinique. A paradise island with wonderful white sandy beaches and many rivers and waterfalls. It is rich in history with an exceptional melting-pot of indian, chinese, caribbean - all contributing to the island’s culture. Having completed her education gaining diploma’s in art and literature, she is currently artistic director for a west indies fashion magazine and a tv host. She has also been an artistic director for 1 year on a music video production in paris. Her ambition is to produce and host an international tv show. Growing up in a very artistic family has made her sensitive to art, dance, theatre, cinema, music literature and fashion; she is also a very keen traveller. Other interests are: body attack, golf, home decorating and design. Favourite food is; tropical fruit and sea food; especially lobster! Her motto is simple it’s “smile to the life”.

Creative, dynamic, fashion

Do you have a special or unusual talent? (what is it?)
I am creative in all the challenges I face in life

Where would you most like to visit in the world and why?
I would like to visit brazil, first for the carnival because i’m passionate about brazilian culture and I have been dancing samba since 9 years. Also, because it is very similar to my culture so I will feel at home.

What is the best thing about your country?
My country has so many things to give, and to participate in miss world is a way to focus the eyes of the world on it. But if I have to choose only one thing, it will be the happiness and the warmth you can find in the heart of the people…

If you were granted one wish, what would it be?
It will be to open the mind and the eyes of the people in the world, because if we can do this, then with hope they will help each other and protect the earth

If you were stuck on a desert island with one other person (famous or not) whom would you choose?
For sure, it will be macgyver, he always find a solution to all the problems and if we are lucky, with a piece of chewing gum he will build a cellular phone.

What is your message to all the other miss world contestants?
Be yourself, enjoy this wonderful trip and be proud to represent your country because by being here you are already a winner
