Khongorzul Ganbat

Khongorzul was born in Darkhan and moved to the capital, Ulaanbaatar, when she was 8 years old. Mongolia is the homeland of the great ‘Genghis Khan’, the Gobi desert and the far-reaching steppe. It is a country of four amazing seasons, snow white in the winter, followed by the warm welcoming spring, flowering green summer and golden reach fall. Khongorzul is a high school student in the 11th grade, her ambition to become a doctor and specialise in the ear, nose and throat. Her hobbies and sporting interests are: classic literature, fishing, netting, crosswords, volleyball, tennis, soccer, the waltz and the mongolian folk dance, and since childhood she has played football as her father is a member of the football federation and she has always gone to matches with him. Her motto is “hard is worth more than gold”.

How would you describe yourself in three words?
Sun – moon – mongolia (me). I’m named after the name of a corn flower, which grows in the soil of mongolian land under the sunshine.

Do you have a special or unusual talent? (what is it?)
I play mongolian traditional music ‘khulsan khuur’

Where would you most like to visit in the world and why?
I would like to visit egypt, the most ancient culture of the world and want to expense its secret, which haven’t been discovered completely for the thousands of years. Cause i’m always curious about pyramids and the ideas behind theses huge constructions.

What is the best thing about your country?
The best thing of my country is our people’s kindness and traditional way of showing great respect to our family.

If you were granted one wish, what would it be?
I want to learn from the greatest people from around the world. If you were stuck on a desert island with one other person famous or not whom would you choose? If he’s still alive, I would go with thales of miletus, the most intelligent philosopher of the ancient greek. So that I could learn form his great knowledge.

What is your message to all the other miss world contestants?
Beauty saves the world. Let’s unite for the goodwill of the humanity.

You’re judging the final five contestants, which question would you ask the finalists?
My question is: what would you do for the well being of the world if you are selected as a miss world? Also what kind of project would you initiate for your country?
