How would you describe yourself in three words?
Optimist – out of every situation, I look for the opportunities and benefits that may arise, to help my continued growth as well as to help others.
Committed – with myself and my country making decisions and taking actions that guide me to reach my goals and help the common cause.
Tolerant – I am aware of the diversity in our world and the need to respect every human being and culture.

Do you have a special or unusual talent? (what is it?)
An innate creativity that enables me to develop different forms of expressions such as writing poetry, dancing and acting.

Where would you most like to visit in the world and why?
Every home of different candidates for being proud representatives of their countries. This experience would give me the opportunity to learn about their country’s fascinating cultures and spirituality. This knowledge and understanding enables us to live together in harmony in our world.

What is the best thing about your country?
Even through we are small in size (100 miles across x 35 miles), we are big and recognised worldwide for its rich history, culture, technology and great variety of natural resources: arecibo’s observatory – the largest single radio telescope in the world. El yunque – the national rain forest of the caribbean. Guanica’s dry forest. Luquilio beach – one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Camuy caves – where the biggest subterranean river in the world flows. And the best resource of all, our people, a mixture of africans, spaniards and taino indians with high moral values, talent and excellent academic preparation. We are the biggest contributor per capita of the world vision organisation and one of the territories of the u.s.a with the greatest amount of university graduates. We are also the biggest rum and milk producers in the world per square mile. These and other attributes are reasons for the island to be known as ‘the enchanted island of the caribbean’.

What is your favourite…..
Film:
‘Pay it Forward’ it teaches us to be thankful and to perform acts of kindness that are born honestly and it makes us responsible for our neighbours.
Music: All kind of music since I could consider it an essential part of every culture.
Singer/band: All popular and ethnic music
Book: ‘The Monk that Sold his Ferrari’ by Robin S. Sharma. It makes us discover the potential that we possess within that helps us live with major passion, purpose and peacefulness.

If you were granted one wish, what would it be?
Be able to continue applying the concept of ‘beauty with a purpose’ but this time in a worldwide scale by continuing being a role model in kindness and recognising and respecting the beliefs or practices of our fellow man. This with the purpose that others will follow, making this a better world.

If you were stuck on a desert island with one other person (famous or not) whom would you choose?
My famous puerto rican idol Ricky Martin for three reasons:
1. A world known personality that would generate a massive rescue operation.
2. An intimate friend of various religious leaders and a student of the Dalai Lama, which we would be mentally prepared and in their prayers for a quick rescue.
3. In case none of the above create results. I’ll be extremely happy because the world conspired so that I’ll be with him.

What is your message to all the other miss world contestants?
Not to look solely at winning the crown. To learn and enjoy the entire process sharing the experiences as one family. Memories that’ll always be present in our heart.

You’re judging the final five contestants, which question would you ask the finalists?
What question you would have liked the judges to ask you, but were never asked?
