Katanekwa Matundwelo

Katanekiwa was born in Zambia and raised in both Zambia and Yugoslavia. Zambia is home to one of the wonders of the world ‘The Victoria Falls’. Her own town, Senanga, is home to the much publicised ceremony, the Kuoomboka. The cosmopolitan city of Lusaka is the capital city and the country’s trade centre.

She graduated from college with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in the Bible and Theology, Was female lead presenter for Zambia’s first ever reality show and is currently working as a television presenter/ producer.

Her ambition is to own her own broadcasting station.

Hobbies and sporting interests are: reading, travelling, watching movies and soccer, aerobics, listening to Soul and her local contemporary music, Kalindula; modern dance and the traditional dances of Zambia; and doing simple things: for example painting, changing door hinges, simple car servicing. Favourite food is chicken served with spinach in pounded groundnuts.

Personal motto is “Do something to the very best of your ability, do it well, or don’t bother trying it at all”.
