Environmental Concern:
Damage or destruction to one part will have an adverse effect to the other. For example, forest destruction will lead to flash flooding because there aren’t enough trees and roots to soal up rainwater. Another example would be the pollutants that are being let out the atmosphere from forest fires are causing global warming. everyone has to be consciously aware that the issues are connected and that we also, being the cause, are connected to them.

It is a two part project because one deals with AWARENESS, and other with ACTION. I want to create an interactive website for children with streaming videos, flash animation games, and even blogs. A site that is educational but yet modern and fun at the same time. I feel it is in the early years that AWARENESS has to be taught. So as these children grow, they can keep teaching and being actively involved in helping the environment. As for the adults, we are all already aware of what we should do (mostly), it is not the education or awareness that we need, so it comes down to the ACTION. People some times feel that helping the environment should be left to big organizations or the government; they feel that they themselves are to small to make a difference. That is not the case!!! My plan is teach people to take initiative. Make people realize that they matter, and so do their action or lack of. People DON’T DO things because they think it wont have an effect. People DO things and don’t know it has a negative effect. My idea is very simple. Let’s say, one person, me for example promises to myself to do three little things a day, everyday to help the environment. The idea is that you take action, and while you do it, someone might see you or ask you about it and then they too can choose three little things and the idea keeps getting passed. Just keep passing it forward.
