Miss Nebraska
Molly McGrath
What is your hometown like?
Omaha has the perfect balance of small-town feel and big-city size. It is a city that is constantly growing and developing with people that are still laid-back and kind to one another.
What were you like when you were a child?
I was very energetic and fun, yet I was quite strange and rebellious. I had a lot of friends, but their parents didn't usually like them hanging out with me.
Who is the most influential person in your life?
My best friend and boyfriend because of his courage, compassion, integrity and strength in his beliefs
What is one thing about you that people you meet may not immediately realize?
I love candy, soda and potato chips, and I hate the fact that I can't eat them whenever I want.
What was one defining moment in your life?
I was one of four students out of 1,500 asked to sit on stage at my NYU graduation in Madison Square Garden. I look at this as my culminating moment after four years of taking advantage of all the opportunities that New York City and New York University had to offer.
What was one defining moment in your life?
I have learned to only compete with myself, to work to be my absolute best while also appreciating the strengths and skills of my fellow contestants. This carries over into many other areas in life and has helped me to be very successful without it being very stressful.
What was one defining moment in your life?
Miss America needs to be brought back to the celebrity status with people wanting her to be at their events, in their magazines and on their shows her entire year of service. With a platform and a story that relates to everyone, I believe I am the person who can accomplish this as Miss America 2007.
