Miss New Mexico
Christina Marie Hall
What is your hometown like?
Albuquerque, N.M., is such a unique place because it blends so many cultures and is truly a melting pot of America. Albuquerque is a great place to live because it boasts a rich history, all four seasons, the longest tram in the world, the Kodak Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, the beautiful Sandia Mountains, the Rio Grande River, Route 66, dormant volcanoes, deserts, forests and the best chili.
What were you like when you were a child?
Inquisitive. I always needed to know the reason why I was doing something and enjoyed asking questions to quench my thirst for learning.
Who is the most influential person in your life?
My mom is and always will be the most influential person in my life. She taught me that hard work, reliability, grammar, punctuation and professionalism always pay off and that you always send a thank-you note before you get to play with any of your birthday presents.
What is one thing about you that people you meet may not immediately realize?
How old I am. Most people think I'm 16 or 17.
What was one defining moment in your life?
Realizing I was a victim of identity theft and that there was nothing the state of New Mexico could do about it. Then taking charge and changing this realization not only for myself but other victims as well.
What was one defining moment in your life?
I have learned a new respect for perseverance and determination. I also learned to form my own opinions about issues and was able to find my true self.
What was one defining moment in your life?
First and foremost, I will serve as a role model to teach young Americans to set goals and accomplish them as I did. Second, I will promote the importance of the Miss America scholarship organization and my platform through appearances, and lastly I will rack up as many frequent flier miles as possible!
