Miss Tennessee
Blaire Ashley Pancake
What is your hometown like?
Chattanooga, the Scenic City, is surrounded by mountains and sits on the banks on the Tennessee River. It is famous for being the home of the Chattanooga Choo Choo and Rock City.
What were you like when you were a child?
I was a little shy, a girly girl and a little mischievous! Otherwise, I'm not much different.
Who is the most influential person in your life?
I have a few actually -- my sisters and my grandmother, Grandmargie.
What is one thing about you that people you meet may not immediately realize?
Well, I'm kind of a nerd. I'm an archaeologist and I like history.
What was one defining moment in your life?
July 9, 2006 -- my homecoming party. All facets and phases of my life were represented -- elementary school, high school, college, my city, my family and my charity groups. They recognized all of the things that I had worked so hard to do over the course of my life from my talent and my academics, to my community service. It was an incredible and emotional three hours.
What was one defining moment in your life?
Hard work and perseverance are necessary for success, regardless of what your goals may be.
What was one defining moment in your life?
I want to make Miss America an icon that can enter the hearts and homes of all Americans. It is also my desire to increase awareness and public involvement in the efforts to prevent child abuse in our nation.
