Carolina was raised in the seaside town of Manzanillo, Mexico, which she loves in all its diversity. She is proud that the Maya site of Chichen Itza was chosen as one of the seven wonders of the modern world.
At 15 she spent two years with her aunt in France, practising French and modelled to help with her expenses. Her ambition after completing her year as Miss Mexico is to study International Relations at university.
Carolina enjoys travel, going to the movies and theatre, reading, swimming, dancing and athletics and is a fan of both Mexican folklore and Mexican food – tacos and chocolate. She also spends time looking after her pets; Cuca a schnauzer dog, and a turtle named Lechuguita.
The proudest moment in her life came when she and her mother lent a hand to help rescue crews in the aftermath of an earthquake in Mexico City.
Her mottoes are “Family life is a foretaste of heaven” and “We can have a better life if we improve our attitude”.
