Rosalva Luna

Age: 21

Hair Color: Brown

Eye Color: Brown

Height: 5'11"

Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
There are two role models who I have become close to through their investigations and scientific contributions: Sigmund Freud and Eric Fromm. They have helped me to know and discover the true potential as humans that each one of us has inside.

What is the most interesting or unique thing that has ever happened to you (aside from winning your title) and/or what is the most interesting thing about you?
Through this opportunity of representing my country, I have become close with and enjoyed time with the mistreated girls who live in the boarding house of Jilotepec, a province of Mexico. Even though these little girls are there because they've been abandoned or are victims of home violence, they are like other children in the world. They taught me the importance of receiving love. They made me understand the depth of meaning in a close hug and made me feel the importance of a true hug's meaning.

What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
I think that more than more than amitions, life brings me challenges that I will overcome for myself and for Mexican society. My next challenge is to be my country's representative in the top 10 of Miss Universe and bring home the second Miss Universe crown to MExico. (Why not?) After that, my challenge is to finish my law studies and then I think I will study at a Family Law college. My professional ambition is development in the area of family law. It'll bring me the opportunity to defend cases that defend family structures, especially cases that defend women and mistreated kids, because family is the nucleus of life in society.

Are you currently a student? If yes, where? What is your area of study?
I currently study Law and Social Science at the University of Occident in Los Mochis., List any interesting or unsual jobs you may have had.
Distributing and selling breads that my older sister and mom made to help our family economics.

Describe your childhood home and living conditions. Were you raised with a large family with lots of brothers and sisters?
I just was a very happy child. I have 8 members in my family: my parents and 6 brothers. Because I am the youngest one they made me feel very loved and, I can say, pampered. It's a modest family without a lot of economic resources, but with principles like love and solidarity. I grew up and developed convictions about fighting for right vs. wrong, about the meaning of work and with strong ideas about the most important things - love, union and simplicity.

What one word describes you best?
Mystic.
