Silvia Hackl

Silvia was born in Linz. She completed 5 years at Business School followed by 2 Semesters at University studying law, she is now working as a Marketing Assistant for a P.R. Agency. From the age of 6 to 16 Silvia played professional Table Tennis and has won the Austrian Table Tennis Tournament. During her leisure time she keeps fit, swims, plays table tennis, enjoys all kinds of dance, and inline shooting. She has visited many foreign countries and likes meeting new people. Favourite food is Pasta, Pizza, Chinese and Mexican food. Personal Motto is “Live every day with all its ups and downs.”


Where did you grow up? Tell us a little about your home town/city, and family.
I grew up in Linz, in upper Austria. I lived with my parents Franz and Katharina and my brother Markus in a flat, a little bit outside the city. Since I was 16 years old my parents allowed me my own flat.

What are your career ambitions, how do you plan to realise them?
I’d like to have a job where I can satisfy my dreams. Marketing and working with people is my primary aim. In the future my ambition is to be able to help people.

What is the proudest moment of your life? (Not including winning your National Title)
When I won the Austrian tournament in Table Tennis and when I passed my exams.

What was the funniest/most embarrassing moment of your life?
I have a lot of bookings (photo shoots, fashion shows), meeting new interesting people, travelling a lot and just having a lot of fun.

Tell us about an interesting event you have attended, or a person that you have met.
Whilst at a meeting of sport cars in Velden, Austria, I met very interesting and famous people. I really liked the cars, there were Ferrari’s, Lamborghini’s, Porsche’s and many others.

What would you like to do, if you became Miss World 2004?
Representing myself and the Miss World Title I would like to travel and help charity organisations. I think then you have the opportunity to realise things, help people and be able to help change bad situations.

If you had a personal motto what would it be?
Live everyday with all its ups and downs.

Give details of any charitable work undertaken?
Fashion shows for charity organisations, projects for people in school. PR for charity events.
