Where did you grow up? Tell us a little about your home town/city, and family.
I grew up in a town in the North of France, in a big house, with my parents, my sister (21years) and my brother (15 years). I used to take my dog out when I walked in the country, everybody was afraid of him because he was big! My parents gave me a good education, and I’ll do the same for my children.
What Jobs have you done? What was the most interesting/bizarre?
I have got a job that helps me to pay for my studies. I give sports lessons to children and to adults. I also help a group of children to do their homework in the evening after school. I think it’s interesting to be financially independent. As part of my University course, I also undertake training placements. Children call me ‘Miss France’ instead of Mss Maciniak. It’s bizarre!!
What are your career ambitions, how do you plan to realise them?
I want to become a schoolteacher to teach the fundamental disciplines to ill and hospitalised children who can’t go to school because of their health. I hope to continue to give sports lessons to children to give responsibilities to them, educate and socialise them and have a good way of life. I’ll wait for the end of Miss World 2004, to invest myself in it completely.
What is the proudest moment of your life? (Not including winning your National Title)
The proudest moment of my life was when I got my high school diploma and my high school diploma + 4 years. To become a schoolteacher, I needed these diplomas. It is very important to go to University.
What was the funniest/most embarrassing moment of your life?
The funniest and the most embarrassing moment of my life took place one year ago in an amusement park. We were in a water park and I lost the top of my bikini! A friend who was swimming near me blushed as much as me. Since then he hss been teasing me about that event!
What was the funniest/most embarrassing moment of your life?
I’ve got a busy life now. I have a very busy schedule. I am satisfied, because I have no time to be bored between my job and my lessons. I go out a lot thanks to the Miss France Committee. I have to do photos and fashion shows too. People recognise me and call me in the street to ask for an autographed photo. I meet very interesting people to share my fabulous experience with.
Tell us about an interesting event you have attended, or a person that you have met.
I recently met on his demand Sir the First Consul of Mauritania for the Embassy of Mauritania situated in Paris. This man invited me to his country soon to represent French Fashion and participate in humanitarian action. I am working on this project and I’ll try to get help from my country for them.
What would you like to do, if you became Miss World 2004?
If I became Miss World 2004, I would like to find funds to buy medical materials and supply vital medicines for ill children in the countries where I’ll be present. I would invest more of my time in humanitarian actions, especially in sanitary and school plans. I would also like to make the world tour and discover the various cultures of each country.
If you had a personal motto what would it be?
My personal motto is: " As long as there is a dream, there is some hope."
Give details of any charitable work undertaken?
I am the godmother of the national association "Children’s Dreams", which has existed for 10 years. This association gathers hundreds of volunteers who make it possible for the children to have their dreams. These children are seriously ill, hospitalised and are unlikely to live long. French people can donate and lead actions to gather money. It allows them to hold on, fight against their disease and to live an intense happiness. My part is to help the children make their dreams come true as best I can.
