Singer Miranda Lambert showed off a real fur coat that she received as a present from her grandmother, but not all her fans were happy about her gift.
She flaunted the new gift on Instagram on Saturday.
`I'm so fancy... You already know,` she captioned the photograph, quoting Iggy Azalea's hit song "Fancy", reports usmagazine.com.
`My Nonny gave me two of her fur coats! I definitely know where I got my love for DIAMONDS, FUR and WHISKEY! #familytradition #grandmatreasures #besthandmedownever #wandathewanderer #bringitwinter.`
In the photograph, the 32-year-old looks all warm and snuggled up in a floor-length fur, black boots, and a beige beanie.
Lambert's excitement over her new apparel didn't impress everyone, however.
Immediately after posting the snapshot, the `Little red wagon` singer was bombarded with messages blasting her decision to wear fur.
`Sorry, I love you dearly, but I don't agree with this,` one commenter wrote. `I don't agree with animals dying for coats.`
Quipped another user wrote, `Not cool for animal lover Miranda.`
Lambert didn't address the criticisms directly, but did follow up her initial post with another one, of herself with her grandmother and a photograph close-up of the lining of the coat, which features her grandmother's name, Wanda Coker.
`Her name embroidered inside is priceless,` she captioned the second post. `A family heirloom I will cherish forever. I'm so thankful for her and all the things I have learned from her. Nonny is strong, beautiful, feisty and most of all, loving. #grandmatreasures #diamondsfurandwhiskey #wandathewanderer.`
