Actor Robert Pattinson is the new face of Dior menswear, marking the first time a celebrity has ever stepped into the role.

In a campaign shot by Karl Lagerfeld, Pattinson is seen casually lounging in a plaid top, jeans and aviator shades in one image, and he models a trench coat in a second photograph, reports usmagazine.com.

Pattinson, who is engaged to FKA twigs, has long enjoyed a close relationship with the French fashion house. He first partnered with the label in 2012 for the Dior Homme fragrance ads, which included a romantic, black-and-white commercial.

Pattinson's campaign will officially launch on April 1.
