The Magnificent Seven movie is already riding high with its awesome ensemble even before the release. Among the seven stars is Ethan Hawke, Training Day star donning the character of Goodnight Robicheaux- a sharpshooter in the movie.
As the spotlight shines on Goodnight Robicheaux, Ethan Hawke effusively admits that he loves the name of his character, saying `Yeah I used the name to build the character- the name is just so brilliant.`
Apart from his complex role, Hawke admits shooting in Louisiana's extremely hot and rainy weather conditions was equally tough. Ethan says, `It was about 104 degrees and raining and it was miserable.`
All gun fires and horse riding look so glamorous on-screen but Hawke reveals that it is not so pretty behind the scenes- saying `We were all dressed in wool and blowing things up with horses and worrying people were going to get hurt and the combination of the heat and the rain made it very difficult.`
Plus, it is not as simple as it looks on-screen. Ethan says, `... No scene was simple - every scene involved lots of extras and action it was just really intense.`
Though for the actor, sweat and dust has paid off as the Oscar nominee gushes proudly, `That's why I was so happy when I saw how the movie turned out because there were definitely moments when we weren't sure.`
Ethan Hawke being reunited with his Training Day co-star Denzel Washington, we can surely expect the spectacular dynamic between the two actors remembering the adventures of Det. Alonzo Harris and Jake Hoyt.
Releasing on September 23, the movie with magnificent star cast and epic story has potential to be one of the biggest blockbusters of 2016.
