Director Dennis Villeneuve is all set to release his acclaimed film "Arrival" in India on 25th November 2016 and we can't be more excited. Starring the gorgeous Amy Adams and the celebrated Captain America actor Jeremy Renner, this film is sure to take the audiences by storm with the lengths the director has gone to, to make it almost real. He brought on board Renee April, known to for her work in The Day After Tomorrow, Waking the Dead amongst many more. He says,"I love Renee because she's very strong with uniforms, she's tired of doing movies with uniforms but ARRIVAL is full of military,so I had the best expert.
Talking about the costume - Hazmat suits, Renee April who is the costume designer said "When you do science fiction you always move away from reality, in this case it had to sometimes be awkward, like those hazmat suits, that was super awkward,` explains April. She further said "They look awful-that's what we wanted. It was a choice to go with something that isn't pretty. It's difficult to work with but we made it work` We did try things at one point for the hazmat but it looked too beautiful. Dennis and I said, 'It doesn't work, it's too much.' We pulled it out.`
After working with the hazmat suits for this film, April mentioned that they are her favorite costume. "They're so ugly that there's something beautiful about them,` says April.
Now we know why they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
We can't wait to watch our favourite stars in the hazmat suit in the theaters on 25th November '16.
