Restlessly innovative filmmaker Steven Soderbergh's 'secret film' has been revealed to be a comedy.
The 'Sex, Lies, and Videotape' and 'Oceans Franchise' filmmaker has lined up an impressive cast, with Meryl Streep herself at the forefront, with Gemma Chan, Candice Bergen, Dianne West, and Lucas Hedges. The screenplay is written by Deborah Eisenberg.
In the film titled 'Let Them All Talk' Streep will play an an author who heads out on a road trip with old friends, reliving both bad and good from the past. Streep's nephew, played by Hedges, tags along with the ladies and finds himself involved with a young literary agent (Gemma Chan).
HBO's upcoming streaming service has reportedly picked up 'Let Them All Talk', one of their first film announcements, with Gregory Jacobs producing. Sarah Aubrey, the head of original content at HBO MAX said her statement `This is the kind of project where you just say yes please sign me up,`

Soderbergh, known for pushing the envelope for the cinematic and storytelling medium, will be shooting this film with a state-of-the-art camera RED Komodo Dragon. He's has been quite lucrative over the last two years, churning out films such as Logan Lucky (2017), Unsane (2018), High Flying Bird (2019). His latest movie, 'The Laundromat' about the Panama Papers (also starring Meryl Streep) which premieres at the Venice Film Festival this year.
