Stephen King is not only one of the most popular writers of the 21st century but also very prolific. He's written 58 novels and six non-fiction till date, and most of them have been adapted into feature films and television series.
To our delight, another Stephen King's novel is headed for a film adaptation!
Stephen King's horror novel 'The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon' (1999) tells the story of a 9 year old Trish who gets lost in the Appalachian trail. Lost in the woods, she now has to survive the wilderness with her wits as she tries to find her way back home.
King is thrilled to have his another of his works being brought to screen by Romero's company, with whom he had worked on 'Creepshow' and 'The Dark Half' previously. This will mark King's third collaboration with Vertigo, who are already bringing the scares this year with 'IT: Chapter 2' and 'Doctor Sleep'.
'The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon' will be brought to screen by a collaboration between George A.Romero's company Sanibel Films, Vertigo Entertainment and Origin Story, with IT producer Roy Lee.
