Indian-Canadian comedian and YouTube sensation Lilly Singh is now transitioning into a whole other medium. The 'Superwoman' has grabbed her late-night talk show 'A Little Late With Lilly Singh' which will replace 'Last Call With Carson Daily' on PBS network. Lilly Singh, in the history of television, has become the first openly bisexual woman of color to head her talk show.
Singh first made his project a public knowledge in her appearance on 'The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon' this year in March. Ahead of its debut, Lilly has claimed her approach to success is always to be authentic, something which she looks to bring to the Late-night game.
Lilly is not alone in this venture, as she received some incredible support and advice from her friends- political satirist Hasan Minaj and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson who has told to never put herself in a box and always seek to branch out. She also recently given an update on her staff, with Aliyah Silverstein serving as the showrunner and the producer. The writing team includes Sean O'Connor, Marina Cockenberg, Sergio Sena, Mona Mera, Jen Burton, and Jonathan Giles.
'A Little Late with Lilly Singh' will feature a mix of in-studio interviews and filmed segments such as comedy sketches and is set for a premiere on September 16, 2019.
