'How To Get Away With Murder' star Viola Davis will star and executive produce 'First Ladies', an anthology series based on the lives of former First Ladies of the Presidential Office. Davis will play none other than Michelle Obama, the former First Lady to Barack Obama.

The first season is set to cover the personal and political struggles of Michelle Obama, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Betty Ford. The show will tell major decisions that shaped the United States, seen from the perspective of these ladies.

The series will be written by Aaron Cooley, with Viola Davis producing with her husband Julius Tennon for their company JuVee productions. Davis is also producing the 'Fast Color' television series under her company along with Julia Hart and Justin Horowitz for Amazon's streaming service.

Viola Davis was recently seen in Steve McQueen's social-thriller 'Widows' and will be seen in the upcoming 'Troop Zero' and 'Ma Rainey's Black Bottom'
