Shailene Woodley from 'Big Little Lies' has found another star-studded project. 'The Fault in Our Stars' actress will be seen alongside Robert De Niro and Shia LaBeouf in the crime-drama 'After Exile'. It is about Mike Delaney (Shia LaBeouf) who after serving 8 years in prison, comes to terms with the consequences of what he had done.
Shailene will play Dana, who grew up LeBeouf's character and had lived through a dangerous relationship. She tries to rekindle their friendship after LeBeouf's character comes out of prison. Robert De Niro will play Ted Delaney, father to Shia LaBeouf's character. Ted must band with Mike to protect his other son from the world of drugs and crime.
Shailene currently starred in the HBO drama 'Big Little Lies' with a huge ensemble cast comprising of Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern, and Zoey Kravitz. LeBeouf recently starred in 'The Peanut Butter Falcon' and De Niro will be seen in Martin Scorcese's 'The Irishman'.
'After Exile' is directed by Joshua Michael Stern and written by Anthony Thorne and Michael Tovo, and the filming is set to begin in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania during November this year.
