The first trailer for Steven Soderbergh`s upcoming Netflix film `The Laundromat` has arrived. Like his previous film `The Informant!`, this film is an out-and-out look at a real-life event.
Soderbergh introduces us to Jürgen Mossack and Ramón Fonseca (Gary Oldman and Antonio Banderas), a bunch of seedy lawyers who funnel the one percenter wealth all around the world. In their games, the everyday man gets hurt but they remain non-plussed.
Ellen Martin (Meryl Streep) sets out to seek justice in a system where odds are stacked against her. Nonetheless, she`s determined and probes further into this horrendous act of dishonesty. She gets back at the perpetrators by uncovering a trail of corruption, finally bringing attention to a scam encompassing several countries.
